HIGH SCHOOL
APPOINTMENT OF HEADMASTER UNDER CON SIDER ATION BY BOARD SPECIAL COMMITTEE SET UP A meeting of the Rotorua High School Board was held last evening to deal with correspondence which has passed between the Board and the Education Department in connection with the appointment of a headmaster to the High School in succession tc Mr. A. R. Ryder who has been appointed to the headmastership of the Whangarei High School. Mr R. B. Nesbit occupied the ehaii and others present were: Mrs I. M Davidson, Dr. H. Bertram, Mr E. C Banks, Mr. W. Steele, Mr. H. A Goudie, Mr. H. M. Martin, Mr. H Tai Mitchell and Mr J. D. Davys (secretary). A committee was set up to exam ine the large number of application which has been received and to re. port.to a further meeting of the fu! board on February 8. The committee which is composed of Mr. Nesbit, M: Goudie, Mrs Davidson and Dr. Bertram, will meet on Wednesday, Febru ary 3.
