AUCKLAND, Monday. The final matches for the Wilding Shield were eoncluded to-day, and resulted in a win for Wellington, which defeated Canterbury by seven rubbers to five. The day's play was robbed of a great deal of interest on account of Angas, Canterhury's leading player, being overtaken by illness. Results. — Singles: D. G. France (Wellington) beat Barnett 7-5, 6-3; Angas (Canterbury) beat Wilson 6-2, 7-5; A. L. France (Wellington) heat Glanvflle 6-3, 6-4. Patterson (Canterbury) beat Roussell, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4. Doubles: Wilson and Roussell beat Angas and Bamett, 1-6, 11-9, 6-3; France and France beat Glanville and Patterson 6-0, 9-7. Wilson and Roussell beat Glanville and Patterson 6-2, 6-2; France, and France won by default from Angas and Barnett.
