FRENCH CHARGE

COMMISSION STATES GERMANY t IS DISGUISING HER ARMED HORDE EXPENDITURE HIDDEN

— By Telegraph — Copyright).

Rec. Jan. 21, 5.5 p.m. PARIS, Wednesday. A sensational allegation that Germany is preparing a powerful army contrary to the Versailles Treaty, was made by General Bourgeois be?fore the Chamber of Deputies Foreign Affairs Committee. General Bourgeois and members of the Senate were recently .appointed a commission to study aripaments. General ;Bourgeois also declared that Germany is organising industry and armament on parallel lines, enabling an extremely rapid mobilisation in case of need, and also actively inculcating the spirit of revenge, even among school children. Senator Eccard declared that German military expenditure is disguised and hidden and is far larger than is shown in the budget. Germany is simult, aneously doing its utmost to persuade the world that whereas she has disarmed, France is arming to the teeth. The revelations impressed the Committee and are likely to stiffen sfill further France's attitude at the disarmament conference.
