BLUE BATH
VISITOR.
Sir, — In regard to the new Blue Baths. In reply to "Sanity" and "Another Visitor" the latter correspondent mentions the "deceased" railways and "balloon loop." Would there have been these monstrosities had the work been done by contract. He •night also have mentioned Arapuni, Mangahao and Waikaremoana schemes, my contention is that the whole system is a relic of the days of prosperity — the dim and distant past. As ^omeone has stated recently "there will be a terrible scandal in about ten years' time when they come to look back over the period from 1920 to 1930 and sum up the amount of money spent and the resulting assets" Very naturally Rotorua wants ■.he Blue Bath completed, it will be an asset to the town but would it be ony less an asset if its cost were confiderably lessened through it being oonstructed on a competitive basis. — I am, etc.,
Dargaville, 15/1/32.
