WELLINGTON, Monday. ' The Minister of Marine, the Hon. J G. Cobbe, "has considered representations made to him on behalf of the Federated Seamen's Unions that an official inquiry be held into the recerit loss of the small steamer Kotiti on the West Coast. It was urged that there was sufficient evidence' available to justify an inquiry, and the Minister, therefore, has agreed to an investigation being made. Therpersonnel at the Court and the date of the inquiry will be announced shortly. * * •
