Mr. J. Barry, who has been staying- at the Hotel Australia for some months, left yesterday an on extended visit to North Auckland. •" . News has been received that the condition of Mr. J. M. Roberts, manager of the Bank of New Zealand, Rotorua, is not so serious as at first anticipated. He has certainly contracted a bad cold, but there are no dangerous complications. He will remain in bed for a few days, and Mrs. Roberts left for Tauranga to visit him yesterday. Mr. Young and Mr J. McLeod, of Auckland, are at the Palace Hotel. Mr and Mrs Moxon, of Auckland, and Mr J. Hughes, of Auckland, are staying at the Palace Hotel. Mr. P. Maddock, Manager ox the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Film Company, and Mrs Maddock and family, who spent the week-end at the Palace Hotel, left yesterday morning for Gisborne and Napier and Wellington. Mrs M. Beranger and Mrs L. Gilbert, of Wellington, are among tbe guests at the Grand Hotel. Mr and Mrs Russel Cook, of Wanganui, Dr. R. Firth, of Auckland, and Mr. N. Potts, of Opotiki, are , at Brent's Bathgate House. Mr. F. T. Lazenby, of Grimsby, England, and Mr. Burns, of Auckland, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. E. O'Connor and Miss B. O'Connor, of Auckland, and Mr and Mrs W. Fordham and Mr and Mrs B. Brice, of Wellington, are at Brent's Bathgate House. Mr. Webstei*, of Wellington, and Mr B. L. J. Spence, of Auckland, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs J. Dickson, Miss Dickson, Mr W. J. England, Mr W. Massey, Mr and Mrs A. Codlin and Mr. W. Wiseman, of Auckland, are at Brent's Bathgate House. Mr and Mrs L. Sinclair Thompson, of Wellington, are among the guests ; at the Grand Hotel.
