DUNEDIN, Friday. At the adjourned inquest qn Russell Albert Hqwes, aged 19 years, the coroner returned a verdict of cardiac failure, caused by an electric shock. He emphasised the danger of using ppTtable electric lights in bathrooms or places where they were
liable to come m contact witn metai. ' The evidence had shown that deceased was shavihg in a bath, using 2, portable light, which was defective in insulation, so that touching a metal part wofild cause a shock that would be intensified if the hand was wet. Moreover, deceased had a weak heart as a re-jnlt pf rheumatic fever.
