SHANGHAI, Thursday. Piracy, murder gnd) violence culminating in the death ;of three Chinese passengers and the wounding of a score of others marked the voyage of the steapier Paofoong, which left Shanghai on Wedpesday night.' The ship retuf ned this afternoon with a tefrible stpry of crime committed "\yhen the vessel wqs within two hours' steaming of Shanghai. The ship \ya^ carrying 40P Chinese passengers including 5Q pirates whose presence was unknown until they rushed the bridge and engine room, taking compiand' at' the pistol point. All the passengers were rohbed of their clothing and valuables in a yio: lent nianner, during which three were shot dead and a score of others slashed viciously with knives. Th passengers were ijerded below decks while the pirates forced the officers to steer the vessel to a lonely islqnd where junks" removed the loot.
