MAJESTIC
SATURDAY — 2 AND 8 P.M. In "Plunder," the second Ben Travers' farce to "Rookery Nook," Miss Brough is no longer the kindly old soul to whom departure from the strict paths of rectitude is abhorrent, but a designing old lady who has not only conceived but carries out a villainous plan to enrich herself and her rascally son. To make matters worse, the full extent of her infamy is not revealed until the end of the film when Tom Walls insists upon a garnut of lies to save his own skin. She agrees and adds dreadful perjury to her other misdeeds — and gets away with it. Tom Walls, Ralph Lynn, Winifred Shotter, and Robertson Hare, who make up the remainder of the cast of "Plunder," will be remembered — may not be forgotten, for their splendid performances in the former Ben Travers' farce, "Rookery Nook." Following the same line as its predecessor, "Plunder" is yet even greater than was "The Nook." It comes to the Majestic. Theatre on Saturday.
