COLLISION WITH COW
ROTORUA BOROUGH ENGINEER AND SON SUFFER INJURIES ACCIDENT NEAR MERCER Mr. F. C. Bunyard, Rotorua Borough Engineer and his son, Lloyd Buhyard, suffered serious irijury on Tuesday evening when their motorcar collided with a straying cow on the main Auckland-Hamilton highway near Mercer. The cow was killed. Mr: Bunyard suffered a badly fractured wrist and head injuries, while his son had his hand crushed. Lloyd Bunyard had left Rotorua pn Tuesday morning driving the car as far as Hamilton, where he met his father. Both set off later in the day for Auckland, and When near Mercer collided with the cow; which had wahdered on to the road and which they did not see until it was too late to avoid hitting it. Mr. Bunyard and his son were attetided to by Dr. A. T. Begg, of Pukekohe; and were later taken to Papakura where they were met by the St. Johii Ambuldh'ca ahd tak'ett td the Auckland Hospital,
