WELLINGTON, Monday. A f ormal verdict that deceased died from injuries received .from being knocked down by a motor car driven by Clarence Obree Evans, was returned by the Coroner, Mr. McNeill, S.M., at the inquest to-day on Francis James McCavanaugh, aged 52 years. Deceased was standing on the edge of the f ootpath in Cuba Street talking to a friend, when the car mounted the curb and knocked him down.
