PROTEST AT HUNTLY AGAINST DISMISSALS STRIKE NOT FAVOURED
— By Telegraph— Copyright).
HUNTLY, Saturday. To-day a secret ballot is being taken among Rotowaro, Glen Afton, Pukemiro and Renown miners on the question of whether they will go out on strike as a protest against the recent dismissals at the mines in the district. It is difficult to define the feelings of the majority of the miners. Some are definite, but generally the* opinion is expressed that it would be useless to go out on strike.
