CANTERBURY REPRESENTATIVE TEAM ARRIVE IN ROTORUA ENJOYING UNEXP-ECTED REST On completion of their Plunlcet Shield match at Auckland the members of the Canterbury representative cricket team decided to spend a brief holiday in Rotorua and arrived here by service car early yesterday morning. The visitors include Messrs Thompson (manager ) , Page, Merritt, Burns, Kerr, Roberts, Burrows, Bellamy,

Cromb, Stringer, Lester and Powell. | The whole party is staying at Brent's j Batbgate House and it is their intention to enjoy a good rest before going on to Napier where they will I play Hawke's Bay on Thursday and Friday next. This will be the first I occasion on which a Canterbury representative team has played in Napier and the match has been arranged with the object of helping cricket in Hawke's Bay. I While in Rotorua members ^)f the ' team are visiting all places of interest in the district and viewing the thermal attractions for the first time. The team is due to leave for Wairakei to-morrow morning and the Might will be spent there, the journey being continued to Napier on Wednesday.
