HUNGRY PEASANTS CLASH WITH POLICE RUMOURS OF DICTATORSHIP

The "News Chronicle's" Madrid correspondent reports that although the Premier denieS" the rumour of an intending revolt by the Civil Guard and the establishment of a dictatorship, the situation is serious and developments are anticipated. Hungry .peasants are continuing to clash with the Constabulary. The casualties in four villages in 48 hourS, totalled 12 killed and 60 seriously wounded.
