• TE AROHA, Tuesday. A shaxjp eqrthquake, accompanied by a rumbling noise, was felt here at 5.30 this morning. Residents were awakened by creaking buildings, and horses and cattle in paddocks, becoming alarmed, gave evidence of fright by neighing and bellowing for a eonsiderable time.
