The front of the .fire is now 400 niiles long and about 1,500,000 acres have been burnt, There are fresh outbreaks everyw;here. The weather bureau offers no hope of rain, for which prayers are being offered in the churches. Three thousand sheep at Hillston blinded by smoke, were trapped and perished. The graziers are finding dead sheep everywhere. The secretary of the Graziers' Association has appealed to the Government for help.
