TROUBLE IN ARGENTINA COLLAPSES FOR LACK OF SUPPORT MARTIAL LAW IN HONDURAS

Rec. Jan. 5, 8.10 p.m. NEW YORK, Monday. The Argentine revolt has collapsed owing to lack of popular support. In Honduras, however, martial law has been declared throughout the country in an effort to suppress a wide revolt movement caused by the discharge of 800 workers by a prominent fruit company. Federal troops thwarted an attack by a large band of insurgents at San Pedro. Telo is
also in danger. Other battles oceurred at Santa Cruz, Yojoa and Choloma Cortes. A message from Montevideo dated January 3, stated that a revolutionary movement against Lieutenant-General Jose Uriburu's Government by supporters of Dr. H. Irigoyen, a former President, has broken out at several places in the province of Entre Rios, Argentina.
