neighbours watch man kill wife and daughter TITEN COMMIT SUICIDE

Rec. Dec. 30, 8.5 p.m. ADELAIDE, Wednes. a domestic tragedy occurred at Helmsdale early this morning, as a result of which three are dead, namejy, Richard Jones, aged 50 years, billiard saloon keeper, his wife, Gertrude Jones, aged 48 years, and their daughter Marjorie, aged 18 years. a womah states that she was awakened by hearing Marjorie scream, and with a neighbour, who also -heard the scream, rushed across the road and saw Jones in the act of killing Marjorie, whose throat was severely gashed. She fell dead at the foot of her mother's bed. Jones then hit his wife on the head and cut her throat. He afterwards committed suicide in the backyard by cutting his own throat. The police ascertained that Jones had been worried lately by the loss of patrons at his billiard saloon.
