PROPOSAL TO SCRAP AS OUTSIDE LAW OF NATIONS WORLD'S FLEETS COMPARED

Rec. Dec. 28, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Monday. The "Daily Telegraph's" Naval correspondent says that Great Britain will renew at the Disarmament Conference at Geneva, the proposal to scrap all existing submarines, and suspend those now being built, on the grounds that they are still inherently incapable of carrying out their destructive mission within the limits of international law. The latest figures regarding submarines, building and built, are as f ollows : . Great Britain, 59 built, 8 building. Pnited States, 107 built, 3 building. Japan, 67 built, 4 building. France, 54 bnilt, 56 building. Ttaly, 40 built, 30 bnilding.
