Sir, — May I suggest through your now very useful paper that if on New Year's Eve, a committee of several of the good ladies of Rotorua were to have collection boxes for the benefit of the wives and children of ihe unemployed on such a evening when everyone has a good-natured feeling, it would be a great benefit. I am prepared to put in the box a little half-crown to the first lady that comes along should this suggestion be taken up. — I am.etc.
