\ Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Ryder left Rotorua to-day for New Plymouth. at Dunedin. Miss J. H. Wilson, of the teaching staff of the Rotorua Higb. School, has left Rotorua on her vaeation. She is staying for a while at Wellington, en route to Blenheim. Miss S. Foote, late of the teach- ! ing staff of the Rotorua High School, • has returned to Dunedin. Miss E. Campbell is spending the Christmas holidays at . New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Evans left Rotorua by car last Thursday for Auckland, where they will spend the Christmas vaeation. Mrs. J. Brown, of Vicforia Street, Rotorua, left on Monday for Brown's Bay, Auckland, where she will spend an extended holiday. Miss E. Gunson, of Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs. Mactier, of Haupapa Street, returned to her home on Sunday. Mrs. W. W. Baxter, of Takapuna, is visiting Rotorua with her son Peter for the Christmas holidays. The late Dr. Baxter and Mrs. Baxter were at one time well-known residents of Rotorua when the doctor was in practice here. Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Lewis, of Rotorua, are spending a short vaeation at Mount Maunganui. Mr. and Mrs. G. Steele and family, of Union Street, Rotorua, are spending a seaside vaeation at Maketu. Mrs. N. M. Keane and family, of Rotorua, are visiting Ohope beach. Mrs. Laurenson, of Tauranga, together with her little daughter, has been spending a few weeks with her mother, Mrs. F. W. Chatterton, of the Yicarage, Rotorua. Mrs. Laurenson will return home on Friday afternoon.
