WELLINGTON, Wednes. The meeting of the Local Government Loans Board dealt with 46 applications for loans, totalling £475,849. Loans amounting to £382,000 were sanctioned, including £331,375 for renewals; £18,550 in new loans; £11,300 for restoration of earthquake damage and £21,575 loans for unemployment. The sum of £10,475, unexpended balanees on previous loans, was authorised to he used for other purposes. The balance (£83,574) of the amounts submitted to the meeting. was either deelined or referred back to the local authority concerned for further consideration.
