GANDHI DISCLOSES REAL VIEWS OF FOREIGN JOURNALISTS WON'T BE TAXED; WON'T WORK
-By Telegraph— Copyright).
Rec. Dec. 15, 5.5 p.m. -ROME, Mpnday. Mr. Gandhi, though steadfastly refusing to see British journalists, gave an interview to other journalists, in which he made more sweeping declarations than he had • ever ventured in London. He said: "We won't he taxed and won't work for Great Britain. W e will completely isolate the British authorities and institutions. India will certainly be crushed, if she resorts to violence, but she has enormous reserves which Great Britain cannot ignore, in the shape of passive resistance. Every kind of British goods will be boycotted, and this powerful weapon is already having a serious effect on the British financial situation and unemployment. "The Round Table Conference was long-drawn-out acting, but it proved to England the spirit of India and laid bare Great Britain's real- intentions."
