Rec. Dec. 15, 7. p.m. LONDON, Tuesday. Tennis tourpament manners were scathingly criticised at the annual meeting of the Lawn Tennis Association. Mr. Griffiths, chairman of the council, instanced "cases of players stopping the game and glar" ing at the Umpire and linesmen and losing point, temper and ball by hitting into space. He considers that one of the causes of the new mentality was swollen head, perhaps encouraged by fulsome praise of players in their eagerness to discover a future Susanne Lenglen.
