NEW YEAR CAMP

It was decided at the last monthly meeting of the Rotorua Boy Scout Troop Committee to hold the usual New Year camps at Maketu. The Scoutmaster, Mr. T. C. Hawkins, will be assisted by the Scoutmaster, the Rev. Mr. Benham, of Opotiki, thus making it a combined camp of about 60 boys. A splendid site has been selected close to the sea with fresh water available. The people of Maketu have also promised to assist the boys to spend a really good time. The committee would be very grateful for any assistance by way of donations towardthe camp, which may be left with the Scoutmaster, Mr. Musgrave, or at Iles' Store, Fenton Street.
