Rec. Dec. 13, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Saturday. The Mayor, Cprporation and | people of Southampton, including Mr. Jack Matthews, who attempted the Australian flight with the late Eric Hook, assembled at Atlantic Park, the site of the municipal aeropdrome to welcome Mr. Bert Hinkler on his punctual arrival in his historic Puss Moth. He was accompanied from Winchester by three machines attached to the Hampshire Aeroplane Club of which he is a member. Hinkler, after his wife had greeted him, and speeches and che^rs had ended, declared that the real way to see the world, accompied by good service, safety, pleasure and education was by means of "a good little British aereplane."
