Rec. Dec. 10, 7.20 p.m. NEW YORK, Wednesday. The Norwegian Consul General has announced that Mr. Nicholas Murray Blutler and Miss Jane Adams have been eonjointly awarded the 1931 Nobel Peace Prize. Mr. Butler is president of the Columbia University and other educational institutions. He is a wellknown publicist and author. Miss Adams is a noted Chinese social worker and author. She is president of the Women's International League of Peace and has presided over various conventions since ] 1915. • Miss Adams is at present ill in a Baltimore hospital and may possibly have to undergo a serious operation.
