LONDON, Wednesday. George Tandy, an unemployed asphalter, has been remanded on a charge of murdering his wife. The police gave evidence that accused in a statement said his • wife had made his life a hell. She was always drinking and told him she would do something to their little lad, so he thought it best that she went first, and killed her. In consequence of Mrs Tandy being missing from her home at Sheffield for eight days, the police dug up a greenhouse floor and unearthed the body, which was fully dothed. There were severe head injuries. A man has been detained.
