FACILITATION OF JAPANESE WITHDRAWAL RESOLUTION DRAFTED

RUGBY, Wednesday. The League Council met in Paris to-day in connection with the Sino.Japanese dispute, and the president, M. Briand, read a resolution reaffirming the Council's resolution of September 13 last, by which the two parties have declared themselves solely bound, and calling on the Chinese and Japanese Governments to take all steps that the withdrawal of the Japanese troops within the railway zone may be effected as speedily as possible. The resolution provides for a meeting of the Council on January 25, and empowers the president to summon an earlier meeting if necessary . The vote will be taken on the resolution to-morrow.
