ITALIAN WINS LITIGATION OVER FIRST DRAW JUDGMENT FOR SCALA

LONDON, Friday. t His Honour Mr. Justice Meredith, at Dublin, gave judgment for Emilo Scala, who won the first prize in the Irish Sweep last March, in the case in 'which Matteo Constantina and Anto^»"o Epicello claimed a share of the prize. The suit was commenced last April. Scala, an Italian restaurant lteeper in London, won the first prize in the first Irish Sweepstake. Two of his countrymen claimed that they were partners in the tickets, but Scale refused to reeognise their claim. Litigation ensued, and world-wide interest was aroused in the action, which has now been decided in favour of Scala. The costs of the suit will amount to a very large sum.
