STUDENTS CLOSE ALL ROADS TO PEKING FOR 24 HOURS TRAINS ALSO STOPPED

Denied free transportation to Nanking to put their views on Manchuria before the central Government, 2,000 University students held up all road traffic for 24 hours and are still preventing others entering or leaving the city. The demonstrators included girls who camped on the track throughout the pight despite the cold. The police hesitated to interfere fearing reprisals- Trains at Tientsin were com■pelled to halt at a junction some miles from Peking.
