mr. s. m. burce defines australian people's problem LYONS SHOULD HAVE MANDATE

LONDON, Wednesday.
"The real question for Australians is ; Are they prepared to place their confidence in a Government led by Mr. Lyons or are they still willing to entrust their destines in the hands of Messrs. Scullin and Theodore after their record of the past two years." said Mr. S. M. Bruce in commenting on their policy speeches. Mr. Bruce added that Mr. Lyons has asked the people to give the Government power to take whatever steps may he necessary jto solve the great problems which will inevitably confront Australia and the rest of the world in 1932. Great Britain returned a Government with an overwhelming majority with such a mandate, and Australia would do well to f ollow suit.
