(To the Editor.) Sir, — "Liberal" takes me to task over my criticism of the Coalition Party. Had he been listening to the Reform candidate to-night (Tuesday) he would have heard another illustrious thinker say that the above party were destitute of original ideas. As a general thing I do not take any notice of anonymous writers for to my mind they are like the Kutuku — put their head under cover and make a noise — and to say that the late illustrious Liberal leader suggested a halt in social legislation is, to put it mildly, contrary to facts. I say again, after hearing some of the "hot air" being blown about to-night that the logical successor to liberalism is the Labour Party. — I am, etc.,
