SINO-JAPANESE AGREEMENT ^ REGARDING NEUTRAL ZONE REPORTED CONCESSION BY BOTH SIDES

SHANGHAI, Sunday. An important advance towards the settlement of the Mahchurian dispute was made as the result of conversations' between Chang Hsueh-liang and the Japanese Charge D' Affairs in regard to the establishment of a neutral zone along the Peking-Mukden railway. Chang agreed, subject to the Nahking Government's approval, to withdraw all Chinese troops to Shanhaikuan provided the Japanese troops along the railway return to the Mukden railway zone. Tokyo officials consider th© Manehurian situation easier. -
