Rec. Nov. 25, 9.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Thursday. The aviation authorities here and at Melbourne know nothing of Coulton the victirn of the Remuera sensation, as an aviator. A message from Scone (N.S.W.), today states that Coulton's conviction for forgery and uttering cabled yesterday involved £3000, the funds of a local grazier, the result of which was the grazier sued the bank concerned and obtained judgment for the full amount. This case was a rare and notable one in banking litigation. Coulton displayed remarkable ingenuity in forging the grazier's signatui'e. H's method of opening and operating accounts at different banks astonished those investigating the case. He was then only a mere youth. The cable referred to stated that police beadquaiters at Sydney, referring to the victim of the Remuera bank shooting, say a man named Oswald Lawrence CoulLon was convicted at SingleLon, New South Wales, of forgery and uttering- on July 24, 1929. He was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. Coulton had no other convictions.
