POSSIBLE CLUE TO MURDER OF AUCKLAND * CHEMIST i DEAD MAN'S MOVEMENTS
-By Telegraph — Copyright) .
AUCKLAND, Thursday. In the opinion of one police ofiicer there is no doubt that Coulton was connected in some way with the murder of Mr. Blomfield on October 30. Among the articles found in the police search of Goulton's room was a piece of iron 18 inches long and three-quarters of an inch thick. The pair of trousers he had worn had a short piece off the bottom of each leg (this was considered impoi'tant). Coulton's movements since the 'murder were: — October 31, a telephone message for Lauri (Coulton) fco go to Christchurch by Sunday's express; Sunday, November 1, left Auckland for Christchurch; November 4, left Christchurch for Wellington; November 5, left Wellington for Hamilton, motored to Papakura, stayed there the night; November 6, arrived at his apartment in Park Road, Auckland.
