Ref erring to the reported Paris agreement for an armistice, officials here declare that an armistice is impossible and would merely enable the Chinese forces, to reassemble at the strategic points from. which they have., been .driven, placing Japan's small army at- the mercy of the overwhellning -numbers of Chinese soldiel'S, whose commanders are unreliable and untrustworthy.
