MILITARY FORCES PLACED UNDER. MA CHAN SHAN'S COMMAND STUDENTS DEMAND FOR WAR

SHANGHAI, Friday.* The Nanking Goverriment has ofiicially announced tbat all Chinesearlned f orces in Manchuria have been. placed under the qommand of General Ma Chan Shap, Governor of tHei-lung-kiang Province, as a preparatory step for united Chinese action against the Japanese. A temporary Government has been established at Tsitsihar, under the leadership of General Chang-chinghui, and under Japanese supervision order has been restored. A Harbin message states that Chin- | esa officials loyal to Nanking are preparing to evacuate, and are expected to be replaeed by officials appointed by the Japanese, . exteiiding the sphere of Japanese influence to the furtherest point for many years. The principal students' organisations hereabouts have presented a i coihbined petition to Nanking, rediiestiiig a defelaration of war on JaI pan.
