INQUIRY ORDERED
mr sterling on scene of accident ASSURANCE TO PUBLIC AUCKLAND, Thursday. Mr. H. H. Sterling, general manager of railways, who arrived from W ellington this morning, said that he was at the scene of the accident, and he had given instructions for the Railway Department's technical engineers to make an immediate investigation into the cause. At present the cause was not known, but the public could rest assured that no stone would be left unturned to discover it. Mr Sterling leaves for Wellingtoi] to-morrow night.
