LABOUR CAMPAIGN
MR. A. F. MONCUR HOLDS NGONGOTAHA MEETING The Labour candidate for the Rotorua seat, Mr. A. F. Moncur addressed a meeting of about 150 electors at Ngongotaha, on Tuesday night. Mr. J. E. Martin was in the chair. The candidate received an attentive hearing. In answer to a question Mr. Moncur stated that the Labour Party would take second place to no one in loyalty to the present British constitution. In reply to Mr. Cambie, who expressed doubt as to whether the New Zealand Timber Industry could ever be revived, Mr. Moncur stated that an embargo on foreign timber was the only requirement needed to place thcindustry again in the forefront of the country's industries. At the conclusion, the candidate was aecorded a vote of thanks and confidence without dissent.
