ACTION FOR DIVORCE

(Press Assn.-

mrs g. l. stead granted decree nisi

-By Telegraph — Copyright.)

AUCKLAND, Wednes. Mutual separation was the ground of a divorce petition brought by Anne Louise Stead against Gerald Lovat Stead in August. The petitioner, now in Australia, was given permission to submit evidence on affidavit. It was shown that the parties had entered into a deed of separation in April, 1926, and had lived apart ever since. | Petitioner's counsel stated that respondent was living in Auckland, and had been personally served. In granting a decree nisi, Mr. Justice Herdman asked whether counsel sought costs. Counsel: "I will not trouble Your Hcxnour to make an order. It is not worth while."
