PROTECTION OF VISITING ITALIAN MINISTER IN NEW YORK ANTI-FASCIST HOSTILITY
— By Telegraph — Copyright.)
Rec. Nov. 16, 8.25 p.m. WASHINGTON, Sunday. In order to avoid a threatened antiFascist demonstration upon the disembarkation of Signor Grandi the Italian Foreign Minister, at New York to-morrow, arrangements have been completed for Colonel Lindberg to pilot a large flying boat with the Minister and his party to Washington for a Conference with President Hoover and the Secretary of State, Mr. H. L. Stimson. A coast-guard cutter will meet the steamer and convey the visitors to an undisclosed airport from which they will fly to the capital. Extraordinary pi'ecautions are being taken to protect Signor' Grandi during his American stay. An antiFascist meeting at New York to-night appropriated 500 dollars for following and heckling Signor Grandi wherever he appears in public.
