mollison's accident WILL MAKE ANOTHER ; ATTEMPT ON • . RECORD REPAIRING 'PLANE AT CAIRO

-By Telegraph— Copyright.)

CAIRO, Sunday. "I was not strapped in; I was shot out and slithered over the soft wet ground, though covered with mud, I was unscathed," paid Mr. J. A. Mollison, referring to his mishap when attempting to break the record between London and Cape Town. "A friendly peasant directed me to Minia where I spent the night,at the hotel. I will make another attempt on the record at the earliest possible moment. The repairs to the mach-

me will take some time. as there are no spare parts in Cairo." Mr. Mollison's reserve tank petrol pump broke, causing a forced landing. The plane apparently turned turtle, smashing the propeller and rudder and he was violently thrown out, but was not injured. Mr. Mollison has decided to repair the plane at Cairo and fly back to England. Flares were burned at the ^aerodrome here last night, following a report that Mollison had been seen over Assault, an hour's flight South of Cairo. It is not known whether he lost his way or decided to miss Cairo and continue to Kartoum.
