JAPANESE RESUME ATTACK ON CHINESE LINES HEAVY B OMB ARDMENT

Rec. Nov. 15, 5.5 p.m. ■ SHANGHAI, Saturday. The Japanese have resumed their bombardment of the Chinese lines at the Nonni River. It appears that hostilities were started by the Japanese following upon General Machisan's rejection of an ultimatum to evacuate the Nonni zone. The Japanese whose air forces have been reinforced are reported to be heavily attacking the Chinese, whose withdrawal is reported to be imminent.
