ELECTORAL STAFF BUSY ON SUPPLEMENTARY ROLL HEAVY REGISTRATIONS Following upon the announcement of the definite date for the electiofl and the imminent closing of the rolls, registrations for the supplementary roll for the Rotorua district are coming in very rapidly and the electoral staff under the district electoral offieer, Mr. J. L. Crowther, is working at high pressure completing the list. Last year, the supplementary roll for the district was exceptionally heavy with approximately 2400 names on the list but present indications are that this figure will again be exceeded this year. Yesterday morning over 2100 electors had registered on the supplementary list and at the rate registrations were proceeding this number will be considerably increased before the roll finally closes. This year, there are 9971 names on the main roll but in anticipation of heavier voting, authority has been given for the issue of 17,000 ballot papers, an increase of 1000 over the number issued last year.
