borough council feels ' neglected by mr. clinkard LAKE FRONT PETITION AGAIN "It is nothing new for us to be overlooked in that particular quarter," remarked the Mayor (Mr. T. Jackson) at last night's meeting o'f ihe Rotorua Borough Council when it was reported that no advice rdgarding the fate of the recent Ratepayers' Association's petition in regard to the lake front scheme, hatl so far been received from the member for the district (Mr. C. H, Clinkard, M.P.). Cr. O. H. Coleman said that the council should have received some advice regarding the petition through Mr. Clinkard, and he moved that ihe member be written to in regard to the matter. The motion was earried. Cr. Coleman also asked whether the council had been given a copy of the Lake Front Empowering Bill through Mr. Clinkard. The Mayor said that no copy of the Bill had been forwarded, and it was deeided ,to bring this matter also under the attention of the member.
