PARIS, Wednesday. Jean Houyet, a young multi-mil-lionaire bachelor, was sentenced to 12 years on Devil's Island, to be followed by 20 years' banishment, for murdering Paulette Robida, his mistress, in a taxi-cab in a fit of jealousy. Houyet gave evidence that the jolting of the car had prevented his taking his own life. He added, confidentially, to the judge: "You have no idea how hard it is to shoot oneself." .
