NEW YEAR CARNIVAL
ORGANISER FOR ROTORUA'S ANNUAL FESTIVAL APPOINTED Mr. E. M. Finlayson, of Wellington, has been selected from a number of applicants as organiser for this season's New Year carnival. On the recommendation of its Publicity and Amusement Committee, the Borough Council called for applieations for the position of a paid organiser, in order that the carnival might be undertaken on somewhat more extensive lines than were those of previous years. Mr. Finlayson's appointment eommences from four weeks to New Year, and it is expected that he will take over his duties from that date, although a start will be made upon the work of organisation by correspondence before Mr. Finlayson's arrival.
