Rec. Nov. 3, 7.45 p.m. NEW YORK, Monday. Following a declaration by the Edison heirs that the inventor's efforts to devise artificial rubber from golden rod had proved successful, the Du-pont-Denemours Company announce the development of the "Dupreme" synthetic rubber. The composition is made from acetylene, salt, and water. "Dupreme" which may be vulcanised by the action of heat, without sulphur, is said to resist the aetion of such elements injurious to true rubber as oxygen, ozone, oil and petrol.
