CROQUET CLUB'S OPENING

The Rotorua Croquet Club officially opened its 1931-32 season on Saturday when a progressive croquet in "A" and "B" sections was played. Mrs M. Manson won the "A" secbion with Mrs C. H. C. Worthington runner-up, and Mrs. D. Herd won the. "B" division, with Mrs Francis, run-tier-up, The green was in excellent condi;ion ,and favoured by ideal weather oonditions, the afternoon was in every vay, an auspicious opening for the season. The president, Mrs Blencowe, in officially deelaring the season opep, velcomed the visitors and expressed ;he hope that all present would enjoy a very pleasant afternoon. In addition to a very large attendance of club members, a number of nsitors were present.
